July/August 2007

So, our July gigs started off with a very, very, very rainy day in Perth, Ontario at the Stewart Park Festival. The stage was literally washed out and we were unable to play as scheduled. Through the great efforts of Dave Balfour and all the other volunteers at the festival all the groups scheduled to play got to do their sets at O'Rileys Pub in the afternoon. After we played the sun came out and we strolled through the park with our paparazzi Bon Bon who made the trek from Boston with Denise and took advantage of some photo ops amidst the beautiful scenery. The highlight however of our Stewart Park Washout was jamming that night with our good friends Shelley, Franc, Ed, Tim & Brian of the band Tell Mama (Kickass Jass) at Mexicali Rosa's. We all had a blast jamming together and the crowd seemed to enjoy it as well thanks guys!

Yvonne - a.k.a. BonBon, Porchy, B.B. - The band's travelling photojournalist extraordinaire

Then it was party central in the Kingston, Ontario area, and and Lindsey and Rob made the trek (unfortunately without Denise) to Dorothy's House for some lakeside partying and jamming round the campfire with all their favorite local yokels….yeehaahh jello anyone?????? Thanks for the party to Dorothy and Helen - we had a great time as always. And the next weekend Heather and Jill held a weekend long "Welcome home Willie" party. We missed the bash but were there in spirit! Of course if Bon Bon were in Canada for the weekend, we would have had some great pics…...

In August Lindsey & Rob traveled up to Connecticut to hook up with Denise for our good friend Cindy's Non 40th Bday party. As always it was great to catch up with our American friendz like that Cindy, Tammy, Chrystal, Diane, and Karen. Cheerz to all the new friends we made, we hope to see you all again soon! Again, no pics but we have the festivities engraved in our memories forever and ever and ever.

In Stewart

Park - July 2007

The next weekend Denise came to Canada and brought Izzy and Bon Bon from Boston who, as always helped us keep it together during a VERY busy weekend. On Saturday we made our very first rockin road trip to Battersea Ontario to the Creekside Bar & Grill. We played lotz of tunez to a very mixed crowd - largely dominated by our most loyalist friends. Thanks for coming out girlz… as always you rock! Special thanks to Kyle for having us, Ronda for hooking us up and Bear for working the door cuz she was really working it - and even had to bounce out a few drunken rowdiez which she did quite well - we all thanked you for that J.

So we rolled in that morning at about 3am had to get up the next morning to play at the 26th annual Kingston Women's Art Festival in city park. It was a beautiful day and as usual the park was filled with spectacular art, great people and the sound of music. After we played some of our good friends, Sue, Sue and Anna let us sit on their motorcycles for some band photos. Thanks girlz that was lotz of fun and none of us fell off or laid any of the bikes over - for that I'm sure you're thankful J. Then just when  we thought the day couldn't get any better we ended up at Margaritaville patio with  some of our closest friends for  an awesome dinner and some cold ones cheerz!
